We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented MDM Architect to lead the enterprise-wide Customer Master Data initiative. This role involves architecting the MDM solution, designing data flows across systems, and driving integration strategies that support analytics, operational systems, and internal applications. The ideal candidate brings both a deep technical foundation and strategic program oversight, enabling alignment between business goals and technical execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of domain-driven MDM models, including staging, landing, and golden records, aligned with key business data elements.
- Define and implement data integration logic from source systems to the MDM hub and downstream consumers, including SAP and analytics platforms.
- Develop match and merge strategies, configure survivorship rules, and establish data trust frameworks.
- Customize MDM user interface elements and workflows, integrating data quality validation rules for both authored and ingested records.
- Model and manage hierarchical structures and reference datasets within the MDM platform.
- Build reporting and monitoring capabilities within the MDM solution to support match/merge audits, data quality metrics, and workflow tracking.
- Ensure interoperability between the MDM platform and data catalog, data quality tools, and other enterprise systems.
- Analyze system performance and recommend tuning or refactoring efforts to ensure optimal operations.
- Own test planning, execution, and validation to ensure robust and accurate deployments.
- Triage and resolve system or data issues, and support one-off data requests from business teams.
- Define future-state architecture and develop phased roadmaps to drive long-term value.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to capture and refine requirements and ensure end-to-end alignment.
Required Experience & Skills
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in MDM architecture, with a strong focus on Informatica MDM or similar platforms.
- 8–10 years of overall IT leadership experience, with a track record of driving transformation through technology, process, and organizational change.
- At least 3 years of experience architecting or deploying data solutions on AWS (e.g., S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda).
- 3+ years of cross-functional project leadership, including stakeholder engagement and delivery accountability.
- Deep understanding of MDM frameworks, metadata strategy, and data quality best practices.
- Strong proficiency in designing and validating complex data flows across structured and unstructured data.
- Solid grasp of API-based integrations, ETL design, and modern data modeling principles.
- Proficient in SQL and familiar with relational database systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Redshift.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
